Kayaking trip on the Suwanee River (1:46) A nice YouTube video showing some
kayakers paddling a shoal that looks like part of Little Shoals above White Springs. Nice
still pics and video with a soundtrack by Godsmack.
Morning on the Suwannee River in Florida (1:44) It's hard to capture the peaceful beauty
of a morning on the Suwannee, but this YouTube video does a good job of trying.
Suwannee River (0:22) This short video shows some little kids playing at the river's edge.
You can really see the dark, tea-color of the Suwannee in this video. This color is from
tannic acid, which comes from vegetation and tints the water harmlessly.
Kayaking the headwaters of the Suwannee River (0:49) This is a nice YouTube video of
some kayakers paddling the headwaters of the Suwannee, the Okefenokee Swamp, near
Fargo, GA. Banjo music, indeed. We never get tired of hearing THAT one...
Close Encounter III (1:15) Although it was shot in the Okefenokee Swamp, this YouTube
video shows you what a fairly big gator looks like on the river. Gators usually disappear
when paddlers approach, but this one hangs out on the surface for the camera.
Suwannee River Adventure (4:38) This is a nice slideshow from YouTube of a three day
motor boat trip from White Springs to Suwannee River State Park. Along the way, they
motored up the Alapaha and Withlacoochee Rivers. Decent blues music for the
soundtrack. There is a plug at the end for American Canoe Adventures, which is a
different outfitter.
Memorial Day Suwannee river run (0:34) This is a YouTube video of some of our
customers having fun on Memorial Day weekend. They have tied their canoes together to
make a floatilla and they appear to be enjoying themselves. There is a cuss word on this
video.
Memorial Day Suwannee river run #2 (0:36) Another YouTube video of a canoe floatilla
on the Suwannee River. Notice the limestone in the background.
Memorial Day Suwannee river run #3 (0:23) More fun with our young friends. As it turns
out, the water isn't that deep after all! (In this spot, anyway...)
